Frustration with burning!

Heidi

Question

Hello! I am having a terrible time burning a simple VCD with two photo slideshows. The first problem was the DVD Builder in EMC 7 was not compatible with Internet Explorer 7. So I decided to fork out the money and update to EMC 9 since I had been happy with the performance of EMC 7. Now I am facing a whole new set of problems! I recreated both slideshows and then edited them in Videowave. I opened up MyDVD and added the two slide shows. All looked perfect! Then I hit the burn button. It is telling me that my media is invalid. I've tried several disks - all out of the same pack that I had previously and successfully burned VCDs on before. Does anyone have any suggestions before I pull out all my hair???

Found it!!! Thank you so much!!! Hey, I have another question for you, if you happen to check back...I only have a CD recorder. Will I get better results using a DVD burner? Is it worth investing in one? The pictures are crystal clear on my monitor, but then appear rather grainy on the TV using the VCD format.

Thanks again!

A DVD will produce better quality as it uses a 720 X 480 format as opposed to a VCD at 352 X 240.

It will never be as sharp as your PC screen image, but so is life…

Yes Heidi,

and the burners are cheap now $30 to $50! Do you want LightScribe, go here and read. http://www.lightscribe.com/

My favorite now Sony DRU 810A because one can't find a Benq 1650-55 and they are the same chipset, ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...3&CatId=89)

Or Pioneer, Nec , LG, LiteOn, here. http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCateg...rners-RW-Drives

Or, BenQ1670 LightScribe with Panasonic chipset. http://www.meritline.com/benq-1670-16x-dvd...o-software.html

I only have a CD Recorder and have only ever recorded to CDRs. Thanks for the quick reply!!!

Is there somewhere/place to specify whether you are burning a VCD or DVD? I can't find it anywhere and the directions in "Help" for burning both VCDs or DVDs are exactly the same. In the older version, you selected which type of project you were doing BEFORE you created it. I can't find that same option in this version.
