Audio Difficulties

PMW

Question

Help! We are having trouble at the most basic level! Newbie, sadly, is accurate apparently. All of our music shows up as protected. We're not trying to create any professional DVD or slide show here, just your garden variety family pics and video with a background audio. Surely, we are not expected to write and perform our own sound track!!!! Can you help?

No need to double post the same issue.

Hopefully someone stops by to provide feedback to your issue.

Quick questions: What is the file type of those audio (wma) that you said are protected? Are you able to add audio of different file type (such as mp3, wav, etc)?

Thanks for the feedback. A bit on edge at this point. File name is listed as wma and associated with other programs such as Windows media player. If I use Media Import 8 & save as mp3, it seems to work fine. Can the file type of the music that I already have on my computer be changed or do I just need to import things again?

There must be a DRM-releated issue on those audio files (file usage restriction imposed on those audios). Do a search on this forum regarding DRM.

You can use the Sound Editor program to save an audio of a certain file type to another file type.
