Using AVI to make a dvd

clubsceneuk2

Question

Can anyone help me. I have just got Roxio and have a lot of AVI file format tv shows i wish to use and convert to dvd. However the only thing roxio is seeing is the mpeg files.

I have a ATI radion 9600 series Graphics card with open gl installed and direct x 9. I have 1gb of ram and plenty of hard drive space.

I can watch these programmes using power dvd so, and i can use nero to convert them even though the lips become out of sync, hence why i want to use roxio.

Can anyone tell me what im missing please? Should i have something extra installed like an AVI codec??

Any help would be greatful.

Thanks

MyDVD should load the avi file. You can then "try" to burn it to your dvd. I found that I had to burn it to an iso file and then try to burn the image file. However, Creator Classic failed on the burn and I used ImgBurn (freeware) to successfully burn an image.

Only problem is that MyDVD created a very poor quality video. I hope you have better success.

Why didn't you try Disc Copier? What settings did you use?
