Having a Terrible Time Burning Slideshow to DVD

Pittinaro

Question

I have created a slideshow with pictures and music in Slideshow Assistant and then edited it in Videowave (both from ECR9). When the process actually completes, the DVD it creates seems to be play one picture and then skip the next 5 throughout the DVD :) Otherwise, the process gets about 97% complete but has issues encoding the menu. I love the way the program works, when it works. But after having to wipe the HD 5 times in the last 2 weeks to get rid of all the other issues I'm getting a little frustrated to say the least. Can anyone help? I was trying to make the DVD for family who don't get to see our kids very much. Thank you!

I had same problem over a great deal of time and research, then discovered that my DVD player was the problem. Though it was a fairly new player, it did not have the progressive scan capabilities that were needed to properly play the DVD’s. I was moistly making photo slideshows for TV. I ended up buying a new DVD player, a Panasonic S52 with progressive scan, and this solved the problem.

Kim, try building one of your productions in VideoWave, from the start, without using the Assistant. See if that works better, for you.

If I do that, how do I crossfade the music like I can in the slideshow assistant.

Use the Timeline view in VideoWave, and add your pieces of music there. I actually use Sound Editor to do all of the work on the music I add to slide shows. I export that work to a folder, as a .wav file, then bring that into VideoWave.
