EMC crashes when i click "burn" and i cannot get roxio creator 9 to open

When i install EMC9 and click on the desktop icon i get the following message: "All your drives are set to disabled. On this operating system, in order to start Roxio Creator 9 Home you must either physically remove your drives or enable at least one drive.

 

Also, when i click "burn" in Music Disc Creator, i get the following message: "Roxio Music Disc Creator has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

 

I'm on my third reinstall now...

 

AMD Athlon 64 3200+

1gig ram

Geforce 6600GT graphics card

Windows Home edition SP2

I don't know if you have Windows Media Player 11 installed or not. If you do - then uninstall it (It has been causing problems as has IE7 to a lesser extent)

uninstalled WMP11 and reinstalled EMC...still crashes....i think i give up....getting NERO7

You sure give up easily. You may want to uninstall IE7, also. It is also a known trouble maker.
