misc files to dvd player

Question

hello,

i am trying to make a dvd that plays in my dvd player.

i have a lot of different file types that i want to burn avi,wmv and mpg.

dvd player--Govideo dv1030 --( from the website--Plays DVDs, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, music CDs, MP3 audio and JPEG image files on CD-R and CD-RW and VHS tape all in the same convenient location).

i have tried everything --i think, but i can not get it to play.

my dvd, drag to disc, the files are burning to the disk just not playing in the dvd player.

i have formatted the disk beforehand and also ejected with at first udf 2.0 then udf 1.02.

i am figuring this should not be this hard to do. can someond point in the right direction.

so my question is what should i do now?

thanks,

craig

thanks,

i noticed that you bolded "unformatted".

i am using a dvd+rw, can i just use erase disk which will blank the disk,

and i am assuming that this will unformat it also.

i started out using mydvd ---back to the drawing board.

thanks,

craig

First of all totally forget D2D - that's the wrong thing

To get movies, etc to play in a DVD player, they need to be converted to a format that can understand. You will need to render them using myDVD and then burn them to a blank UNFORMATTED disc

hi gi7

i did it!!! i am surprised because before i was trying to put 9 files on one disk. it turns out that only one file would fit on the disk. i must of missed something in mydvd before. any way, i have one more question,

when i was burning the disk an encoding preview was running below the 2 progress bars. i am thinking that

it is using my computer resources. Is there a way to turn the preview off, since i already previewed in the dvd player window. i was looking around and did not see

anything.

thanks again,

craig
