Manual activation

Can someone please explain to me how to get into manual activation. I have printed out John's e-mail (pinned to the top of this forum) and followed it to a "t" but when I launch EMC-9 at step 3, I do not get the option to activate offline. What am I doing wrong???

Also where can I find my 25 digit product key. I tried entering the CD key but that does not work. I have sucessfully registered the product but cannot activate it. Please help.

Unfortunately it's a catch 22 situation. To activate offline - you do at some point have to go online (there's no 'activate by phone' option)

 

The product key should be in orange type when you try to activate offline - this is where the problem arises because at that point you need to go online

Actually, activating offline is easy. Once you get the message saying something was wrong when activating, you should have a screen to try again. Disconnect your internet connection, before you click Retry, so it doesn't go through the same process.

 

It will look like you aren't actually clicking on Retry when you click on it, but you are. You will get a screen that gives you a number that you have to type in, once you get online. Leave that screen up, connect to the internet, and type in the URL that is on that screen.

 

Once you type in the URL in the Address box on the internet, you will get a screen where you have to type in the number that is on the screen that you left up. Once you do, you will get an activation code. Write that sucker down, and type it into the screen that is still up from before, and then click on Continue, or whatever. You will then get a message that you have successfully activated.
