Photo Disappearing Act !

Janis

Question

:) I owned EM Creator 7 and upgraded to 8 and then stopped using it altogether because my hard drive crashed and when I recovered my data and reinstalled my EM8 , NON OF MY PHOTOSLIDE SHOWS WORKED !! I communicated with tech support and all they said was "the path to the photos has to be EXACTLY as it was previously was" !!! BUT with a different hard drive and no way to recover the exact path... ALL MY HARD WORK ON SEVERAL DVD PHOTOSHOWS WAS LOST !!! Did you guys find a way in this version to reunite LOST PHOTOS in a production if they are moved or deleted ??

I will purchase this version if you can tell me you have a FIX !

Thank you !!

The "you guys" that you are trying to reach are not reading this board (normally) so the people that are reading this post can't provide a fix; perhaps a work around.

When you open one of your dmsd files, do you see a question mark where the images should be? You should have gotten a message saying that the images can't be found? If you get that window, it will ask you to navigate to where the images are. (screen shot from V9). If you went from V7 to V8, you will have lost all your transitions and text. V8 handles those things differently.
