Beerman
Just too much money for me to switch. I am still using the beta Outlook 2007 at work and really like it but unless they offer me a real good deal or I can get the student edition, I won't get it. I have lots of friends who teach at universities who I know will get special offers better than the student edition and I may spring for it later but for what I do, there's very little need to upgrade now. In a year, they'll reduce the price with a PC purchase.
Guest ml
Window Vista for Dummies is available the same day Vista goes on sale? I thought that Windows Vista was supposed to be 'user friendly' (And if you believe that, there's a bridge in NY for sale.) Sorry. I think I need an 'attitude adjustment.' lynn98109
Be pleased to note that Office 2007 Student consists of Word, Excel, and Power Point - with a new program for making notes. amazon.com There is no Outlook program, for that you have to either buy it separately or buy the FULL Version. This was pointed out by the WALL STREET JOURNAL's Walt Mossberg in his column last Thursday. Lynn

And you're supposed to use a "hands free" cellphone when driving in New York, but it's hard to take that law too seriously when you see policemen driving with a cellphone up to their ear. Emmmm..... you might want to mention that you got the version for free LEGALLY because you did software testing. Wouldn't want people to get the wrong impression. Someone explained that you could find many of their local police cars jockying for the best position to park their police cars in the local McDonalds...... so that they could file their reports over the McD's wireless network. I think what they mean is that BMW and Microsoft have been working on a in-car computer system that go's to market this year, and it's run my Vista, and it lets you have your phone data and contacts ect on the in car cell system as well as all your office stuff like documents , calendar and items like that follow you if you are a mobile corporate user, as well as mobile Internet, DVD movies , MP3 ect ect (office away from the office) , not my sort of thing , but I'm sure in todays big corporate market, they will sell lots of these... As to your comment ML, we don't have free wireless systems here for the cop's to use, they just go to Mac'ers to get there half priced lunch or morning tea (as Cops, ambulances, ect ) get half price if on duty here in NZ PS: i to got my Vista Ultimate from being on the beta test, but iv reverted back to Windows XP as I'm happier with that over the vista (each to there own)

Think about that Guru's? mobile Roxio access anyware in the USA Well, hopefully, you pull over before you surf. Otherwise we might find ourselves driving off the road in frustration or laughter. ( Some guru posts leave me helpless with laughter. ) I wonder if they use cell phone towers or satellite to access the net.
