No Video when exporting Tivo Show to iTunes?

jshore23

Question

Just downloaded Toast 8, along with Tivo Transfer. I can play a show fine in the Tivo Recordings window (toast), but when i export it to itunes, i get audio but no video.

Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions/workarounds?

Thanks in advance!

Also, if you want a higher-resolution export that works in iTunes, choose MPEG 4 instead of one of the iPod formats for export.

My software says "Your video will be exported at 320x240 resolution, the maximum size allowed by TiVo." no matter what options I select.

All I really want to do is export to a format I can edit then burn.

With your TiVo videos in the Toast window with DVD video selected as the format, choose Save as Disc Image. Toast will create a video DVD disc image file. Mount that file and choose DVD with the Toast Media Browser. You now can import those videos as standard MPEG 2 files. When you drag them to the Video window, Toast extracts them as MPEG 2s in the Roxio Converted Items folder. You can access them there and edit them with MPEG Streamclip. Once edited you can create a new Toast Project and make a video DVD with your edited files.

You chose the "For iTunes" export setting which is audio only. Instead, choose one of the "For iPod" export options.

ahhhh... makes sense now.

boy, tivo2go for mac = tiny screen size! (wish i could just import everything into itunes for easy library/viewing at full screen size)

You should be able to see the videos at full screen using the Toast Video Player that's at the bottom of the Toast Extras Menu.
