funkydiscochik
I have some mpeg files on my computer that I want to be able to play on a DVD player. Could anyone tell me which program I should use and if DVD+-RWs are acceptable media? Also, what other types of files can I use to make DVDs for my DVD player? Thanks! funkydiscochik
You need to use MyDVD. Import your files into MyDVD, make your menu and burn. RW's are fine for testing but if you want to keep your movie, you'll want to burn to a + or - disc. You can also burn to an image file and then later burn it to disc. So I should use a DVD+R? Also, what formats are best to use for making DVDs that can play in my DVD player? I thought it was mpeg. Will AVIs work? Would it work better if I make an image then burn it to the DVD+R? Beerman
So I should use a DVD+R? Also, what formats are best to use for making DVDs that can play in my DVD player? I thought it was mpeg. Will AVIs work? Would it work better if I make an image then burn it to the DVD+R? Most current players can play both + & - R discs but there's arguments over which one is more universal. AVI files should import fine in MyDVD unless you don't have the correct codecs installed (XVID????). Almost 90% of my projects are burned as an image file which I find easier to use. It's a matter of opinion.
