How to create multi audio tracks DVDs?

charly20

Question

Hi,

How can one create multi audio tracks DVDs in Toast?

I live in Belgium where I record on my PVR films from pay-tv providers. Most films are sent with two audio tracks: english and/or french/german depending on pay-tv provider.

I want to create DVDs from such recordings, including the 2 audio tracks.

Up to now, with Toast 6, I create single track DVDs by importing .m2V and .m1a files. That works OK.

But can Toast 8 create multi audio tracks DVDs? How?

Thanks.

Toast 8 will only use one audio track when it authors a video DVD. What's new in Toast 8 is that you can now choose which track is selected. Previous versions would automatically choose track 1.

Toast will include multiple audio tracks when burning an existing VIDEO_TS folder to DVD. So you may need to get DVD Studio Pro in order to author a VIDEO_TS with multiple audio tracks.

Thanks for your answer.

What a pain that Toast cannot do that. It seems so obvious.

In the PC world, there is a software that I used already 3 years ago (it's java based and shoul run on mac too) that allows multi audio tracks. (i don't have the name of the software in my head) It also allows the creation of chapters at x intervals that you determine (ex. 5 min.).
