somwicked
Went to use the lightscribe feature in Disc Label re and it reported the host was not available and provided an address of http://www.roxio.com/support/maclightscribe. Upon going to the address, I am redirected to the main support page - indicating the above address is not valid. Where can I get the host portion for the lightscribe - since I'm hoping someone (other than lacie) has made this work on a mac? update After digging, grabbed the host driver from SmileOnMyMac. May not be the right one but it is more than I got out of Toast. http://www.smileonmymac.com/DiscLabel/download.html At least my lightscribe drive is seen now. Next question, does it work? valerama
Do you mean Disc Cover RE? I tried to look for Disc Label RE in Toast 8 but couldn't find it... It's under "Extras" So I grabbed the host driver from above .. it appears to be the same as the host driver available from lacie. http://www.lacie.com/download/drivers/ligh...be_host.pkg.tar Test burn .. failed with a communications error. Switched from firewire to USB. Test burn .. took forever, but worked. Probably should add I'm using an HP 640 external drive. Ahhhh.... Decided to give the demo version of DiscLabel a try (since the included Disc Cover RE isn't working). DiscLabel WORKS (of course, I have the big DEMO burned into my pretty label, but I have success.) This with an external LG 2166D over USB. I'm gonna try rebooting everything and see if I can't get Disc Cover RE to work.
