What happens on Panther?

Cesare

Question

I am still running S X 10.3.9 on a G4 Sawtooth, and have no intention to upgrade to 10.4.x in the near future (some nice features, but nothing i actually need). I am also still using Toast 6, but I like the new features.

However, Toast 8 seems to require 10.4.x - but if I try to run it on panther, what happens; Sme features will be disabled, it will be slower, or it won't run at all (in this case, I might as well save the money).

If it does not run at all, will I able to use its serial number (or get another one) to activate a copy of Toast 7 until I upgrade the OS?

[Ouch. No choice, then.

On the other hand, is there a legit way for an owner of Toast 8 to get a serial code to run Toast 7?

In this case, I woulsd still buy the new product now, and use 7 until I upgrade the machine or the OS. Otherwise, I have the choice between buying a product that I can use but is already obsolete, or one that is up-to-date but I cannot run...

Thanks again,

Cesare

you can buy Toast 7 now for 10.3.9... when you decide to upgrade the machine, you can decide if you want to upgrade to Toast 8... Toast 7 is not obsolete...
