Labels - track number and artist name

I'm having trouble making label inserts on an audio music compliation. I cannot get either track number or the artist name to appear on the insert. I've checked the boxes for track number and artist but they never appear on the label. Help. This shouldn't be this hard!

If it's a compilation disc then Gracenote won't find the names,you'll have to enter them manually when you make the disc and then hit "fill from disc" when you make the label.This needs to be done before you close Music Disc Creator.

I did this. Did not work. Artist name for each track and track number does not appear on label. What am I missing?

Is the track/artist info in the id3 tags?

 

Check on the original files - right click and 'properties'

You can of course edit the Song name in Label creator to include the artist name.

Not clear what Id3 tags are. The songs come from a variety of sources ---CDs & MP3s.

The id3 tags are what store the info - if you right click on the file and select 'properties' you will see a 'summary. tab - this is where the info is stored. You may have to manually add that - use 'advanced' on the summary

Label Creator only prints Song and length. NO ARTIST names. To get the track #, right click and choose numbered bullets (or something like that - not installed at the moment).
