Adding Chapters/bookmarks to an audio book?

Helomech

Question

Hello, I am a new user of Media Creator 9. I have quite a few old books on tape that I am importing into digital format to use on my 5G ipod. Using Sound editor how do I add bookmarks or chapters to the audio file so they show up on my ipod . I added markers every 30 minutes to the file but they did not show up in the file once I exported the file to a MP3 file and downloaded it into my ipod. Any help is appreciated.

No I turned the recordings into single .wav files and converted them into MP3s. I'm just trying to put in chapter/marker breaks.

Use Sound Editor to put breaks in the audio. If there are natural breaks in the recording that are long enough, you can do this automatically (tools> track detection). Save (export) each clip separately and then make your mp3 disc using Music Disc Creator. You will have the breaks. Remember to use the pop-up ability to save the files to keep the audio clips in order.
