Analog Capture Problem

Frank S

Question

I have an HP Pavillion m7680n. I can capture analog video from my Sony Hi8 Camcorder, but I am getting a blurred or scewed picture at the very bottom of the video. Any ideas?

The video capture card is a Haupgauge PVR PCI II. I have downloaded the latest driver.

This is normal and will not be seen when shown on a TV. At the bottom some people will see where the rotating video heads switch. This is visible with any VCR or analog camcorder which works just like a VCR. You can go through the trouble of chopping this out, but this will force a re-render if the original file is MPEG. Personally, I would just ignore it if you are going to view this on a TV. It's outside the TV safe zone.
