Wotan
I get an error message when trying to open an image file created in Toast 8. If I try the "+", the file is grayed out If I try Drang and Drop, when I choose "record", I get an error message "CD-ROM XA or Audio tracks cannot be written to DVD" Have I created original file incorectly in Toast 8? I don't believe I've done anything different than using Toast 7 java script:emoticon('',%20'smid_14')
Wotan
Then you probably didn't have DVD video selected as the format in the Toast 8 Video window when you created your disc image file. Possibly you had video CD selected instead. I will recreate the image file to see if that answers my question. Thanks
tsantee
I'll see if I can get the same result. But why are you using Popcorn 2 if you have Toast 8?
freshburn
That's strange. Did you create the file in Toast DVD-ROM formats, or in Toast Video format? Also, why do you use Popcorn 2 for the image instead of Toast 8?
Wotan
If you need Toast 8 to create create the VIDEO_TS folder you're correct that the process is to Save as Disc Image. To fit that disc image to a single layer DVD, select it with the Image File setting in the Toast Copy window. There you'll see the Fit-to-DVD check box (on by default) and you can burn your DVD from the disc image file. I still get "CD-ROM XA or Audio tracks cannot be written to DVD" when I selectt the record button. Additonal info: I'm trying to burn to a DVD+R DL the "coy option" button is greyed

The manual says there is a "compress video" button to the left, but it's not there so I make an Image File from the File menu. I create the file using DVD-Video from the video menu.
