Burning eyeTV HD Movies to DIVX Fails

ash

Question

I am having experienced an issue when attempting to convert recorded HD Movies from eyeTV. The resulting divx movies do not play when loaded up in quicktime, divx player or VLC. VLC is the only program that gives a little bit of info in its log as to why it cannot play the content created by Toast 7.

ps warning: found sync code

ps debug: es id=0xff format unknown

ps warning: garbage at input, trying to resync...

I am using a Power G5 2.0 Dual Core

OS X 10.4.6

Toast 7.1

eyeTV 1.8.5

QuickTime 7.1

Divx Converter 1.1.1

Divx Player 1.0.3

Here are my DIVX settings in EyeTV (All default settings) :)

Divx Certified profile - High Def Profile

Settings: Defaults

Input: Length 02:03:55

File Size 12762 MB

Resolution 1920x1080

FPS 29.970

Output:

Length 02:03:55

Bitrate 4000 kbps

Audio MP3 160 bps

File Size 3697.30 MB

Resolution 1280x720

FPS 29.970

What is odd that this only happens for longer lenght features. I am able to convert and play 40 minute shows without any issues. Any insight or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Ash
