DVD Builder 7.5 crashes after I add new title

I have not used my DVD builder 7.5 in a while but never had a problem with it until now.

 

I am attempting to create a DVD in DVD Builder. When I choose "Add new title", it shows up in the DVD disc project size bar on the bottom of the screen but does not show up on the Menu or in the production editor. (Does not show up if the "show all titles" checkbox is checked or not)

At this point the "Add new title" button no longer responds. So when I go to DVD Menu and press Add new title... at the top of the screen, the DVD builder crashes.

 

I've already restarted my computer and nothing changed.

Does anyone know what my problem might be?

Thanks Larry. I'll uninstall IE7 back to 6 and see if that does the trick.

 

Any idea if IE7 has any affect on EMC 8 or 9?

It has been causing problems with EMC 8 also (which I'd recommend staying away from anyway). EMC 9 works ok with it.

There are some reports starting to come in Larry of it causing hiccups with EMC9 as well. Best to forget it and use Firefox or Opera for tabbed browsing

I uninstalled IE7 and my computer defaulted to IE6. I originally hesitated uninstalling IE7 because I thought that would comletely delete Internet Explorer from my PC. So if you need to go back to IE 6, then do the uninstall.

 

And it worked like a charm. I did the uninstall, restarted my computer, IE 6 was there with all my passwords and favorites. Nothing changed. And best of all, EMC 7.5 works perfectly!

I think I'll stay away from Internet explorer 7 for about another year.

I have IE-7 and WMP-10. Do I have to wait for a patch or do I just have to reinstall back to IE-6?

As noted, uninstall IE 7 if you want to use EMC 7/7.5 (should find IE 7 listed in Add/Remove programs). There is no patch expected from Roxio/Sonic, as their current version is already up to v 9.

Have you installed anything since the last time you used it? Like Updates from MS? If you have installed IE 7 or WMP 11, those "break" EMC 7/7.5, so they would need to be uninstalled.

You most definitely have IE7 installed on your computer. As Larry said, uninstall that and WMP 11, if you have that installed.
