Popcorn 2 Compression & Burning Problem

Marco

Question

I've upgraded fron 2 to 2.1 & have begun to encounter a specific problem when I try to compress & burn a disk from a VTS folder. I would insert a Blank disk & choose the folder & settings then press record & instead of the compression begining it goes directly to writing the Lead Out of the disk with out even compression taking place. Any Ideas

The compression, if needed, takes place before the burning begins. It sounds to me that your DVD did not need any compressing after you chose your custom settings, so Popcorn went straight to burning the disc. Have you tried playing the burned disc?

Thanks for responding, the VTS folder needed to be compressed & compression was on. It is when I pressed recored Popcorn will compress then burn the disk, but it did not compress the data; it just stated "Writing Lead-Out" which normaly comes after the data from the VTS folder has been compressed & burned.

I did do one thing though to fix it. I went into the Library/preferences & trashed the Playlist for popcorn as well as the preferences & restarted my machine. I then started popcorn & tried to compress & burn the same folder & it worked. It seems I have to continue doing this each time I shut down my machine.
