zunk
I've been trying to cut commercials from recorded TV using the marker method: "1.Add a marker at the beginning and end of the section to be deleted. 2.Click the marker at the beginning of the section. 3.Press Ctrl and click the marker at the end of the section. 4.On the Timeline marker track, click – (minus)." Clicking -(minus) simply deletes the second marker, not the footage between ther two. Any thoughts? It should be a no-brainer to cut scenes but I've got no brain! Thanks. zunk
Thank you so much, both of you! I thought I had to get that "X" highlighted but I doubt I would have tried something so basic without your help! This is a great forum and I know I'll be back often for great tips and how-to's. Thanks again for your help!

Once you have made the splits, and you have 3 sections showing, right click on the section you want to delete, and select delete. It is a no-brainer. Sorry the Help is incorrect.Go to Timeline move the 'blue line' to beginning of commercial Click + Move 'blue line' to end of commercial click + THEN LEFT CLICK BETWEEN the two markers and a yellow line should connect them Click the -X- icon to delete that section. You can also do this multiple times and delete several chunks at once.
