Question

Having just bought DVDit ProHD and installed and read the manual(on line) ..I am having problems burning my test DVD which I originally created in Edius 4 through Procoder express. I couldn,t import files, so I created DV avi file ..the 2hour file was far to big to fit one one disk, then I thought create mpg file in Edius Express procoder "current project size 7.5Gb target size 4.7Gb.

I have created the DVD in Edius..no problems... so there is no urgency but I would like to get my head around this "very easy to use" Program.

Are there any tutorials available?

Many Thanks

DVDit Pro is not designed for importing/encoding video file. It recommends you get it from other program. Instead, it is an authoring program. A very easy to use program in terms of authoring.

About how can you put more stuff into a disc, some program may do what you said "current project size 7.5GB target size 4.7GB...". Roxio has another program called MyDVD and it does what you are looking for.

You may want to take a look on Roxio MyDVD or even their all-in-one solution Easy Media Creator 9. It works exactly what you want.

DVDit Pro gives you a more details information about how it will handle your video files.

You can go to Project Settings to change the quality settings.

In my case, change the quality to lowest one, I can put 3 hours (4 TV shows) in a 4.7GB DVD disc.
