Authorization code? program has locked me out!

Question

ok, the %$#@*% program has locked me out! i rush home from work, all excited to play with my toy only to find that it's decided it doesn't want to play anymore!

when i launched MYDVD last night (after having worked on it for the past two weeks) i get a dialog prompt that says something like....."authorization codec(s) required for MPEG-4" i select "ok"....it tries to connect to the internet only i don't have internet (yet).......says it can't connect, "program terminating" and the *&$#^#^&ing program shuts down!!!!!!!! it's right out of the box, i bought it, never been copied, installed it with CD key and TSID # (whatever that is) and it worked fine till last night. now i can't run MYDVD.

oddly i got the same promtp using video wave, but the program didn't terminate......

anyone run into this? the software doesn't say that "internet connection is required"

You can try manual activation but in the end, you'll have to connect to the net.

yeah, tried that, needs internet.

thanks for your response though.

Do you have access to dial up? That would work just as well. Some systems come with a trial version of AOL, NetZero or something that you may be able to use to get activated.
