texasriverpirate
Hi all: I recently purchased the Roxio CD and DvD Burning software off of ebay, version 6. I have windows xp and it works great for what I want it for. I only burn music and data cd's. My question is, when I rip music from cd's, it saves the music file, with track number and the song name, but not the name of the band. I know it has 4 choices for naming files, but none carry the band name with it, on the file. It names the folder with the band name, but not the files. I went in, and renamed each file, deleting the track no. and putting in the band name. So it would look like: George Strait - King of the Mountain.mp3 The files play fine. Will I run into problems down the road, deleting the track no.'s on the music files? Thanks
tbrewst
You shouldn't.The only reason I can think of that you would need that number is if you were trying to recreate the original disc and wanted to get the tracks in the correct order.Other than that I can't see any reason to even need the track numbers.
