Text issues in videowave

I'm putting together a video prod. in videowave starting with a colored panel. When I bring up the text setting options everything is grayed out accept the ability to scroll, fly , crawl etc. I have a full retail version of EMC 9. Have loaded program and content discs, but still unable to use text options. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

And they are still greyed out even after adding text? Highlight/activate the text and check if the options are enabled.

Thanks for responding malatekid. After playing around with it for a while longer I figured out how to work it. Thanks again.

I used EMC 7 prior to this version, not as detailed as ver. 9, but easier to use.
