CARRARO1
I have just started using EMC9. I have and .avi file and when I'm in the "Scene Detection" I can't drag the scenes into the storyline. When I selected the scenes I got the message "VideoWave 9 has encountered a problem and need to close". I try with an small .mpg and I was able to drag three scenes without any problem. MonsterFISH
I have just started using EMC9. I have and .avi file and when I'm in the "Scene Detection" I can't drag the scenes into the storyline. When I selected the scenes I got the message "VideoWave 9 has encountered a problem and need to close". I try with an small .mpg and I was able to drag three scenes without any problem. i encounter this problem one in a while. the problem with this error is that it is random. it doesn't happen on any given function. It happens when I add a video or photo, or when i edit the chapters, or while editing chapters, and then clicking on cancel. I think the application needs to be able to trap all the errors. At least tell the users what is the error and what kind of solution to follow. I've worked with a similar application, and most of the time, our problem is due to the database manager...I have no idea what EMC9 is using for a database manager or media manager. I know that Sony Vegas 6.0a is using Microsoft SQL. it seems faster, but requires alot of instructions to completely be able to maneuver in the application. Whereas, EMC9 is more easier for the end user...except the error handling needs alot of improvement, and maybe even the DB and Media manager. Whenever I try to use the add/change/edit the movie or chapters, the disck drive is hard at work. The size of the drive is 400 GB, and it is SATA II...transferring at 300mb per second. but it seems that is still slow. My machine is using a dual core processor with 2 GB of Corsair DDR2 800 FSB, and still not able to multi task when I am running MyDVD....i am living with the kind of work i had to do with EMC9 because it is taking too much time to learn Vegas 6.0a
