errors buring, errors making saving as MPG

bmoney69

Question

i seem to be getting a lot of errrors....doesn't seem to be user error, although can't be sure. when i use video wave to edit my clips, if i try to save as MPG-2 it gets all the way to the end and locks up at 99% (everytime). soo if i add my clips to MYDVD in the form of a "video wave file", then try to burn the disc, i imidiately get an "8004520c error wile encoding". it was about 3.5gig, with two menu screens and 8 movie clips with animated menu backround and animated buttons. not overly complex edidting or anything like that, but some.

assuming i fix this problem....should i save my video clips in MPG-2 format after editing them in video wave or just leave them in the video wave format.....is one way better then the other? currently i can't do either.

thanks!

Couple of things to try

First - have you updated the drivers for your video card? EMC9 uses the graphics processor in rendering and it needs the latest drivers to work

Also - did you update DirectX to 9.oc (Dec release)

ok, that could be the problem, because i get an error when i go to the trim command also that says it need direct x9.

the problem is i don't have internet yet (don't get me started on comcast), so pretty much everything needs to be updated, it's a brand new machine, but if direct x9 just came out in dec, i know it's not on there.

ok, i'll guess i'll just have to sit tight till i get internet. doesn't seem to be anyway to download direct x9 from a remote computer.....says it needs to verify windows on the computer.

thanks!
