DVD Bruning Problem

Hi,

 

I'm new here and new to burning DVDs. My problem is an error while attempting to burn an image file to a DVD. I get a message saying that I don't have the required permisions and the result code = -54. If I transfer the image file to another computer (also a Mac G4 with OS 10.4.8 and also running toast 7.1.2) it burns without a problem. Anyone know what is the cause or what I am doing wrong? Nothing that I have tried has helped so far. I generated the image file myself with Toast so why shouldn't I have permissions? Trying to change the permissions with in Info didn't help either. I'm stumped!

Is this a disk image file that you are trying to burn? If so did you try burning it with disk utility?
