Enhanced CD - adding files

kimtpeterson

Question

Am trying to make a master CD to house both audio files and those that will eventually make up the Audio CD such as jpg's, text, CD Printer files the master.rcl and CD.rcl. The problem I am having is adding two files, both of which are roxio .rcl files. Whenever I try to add them in Creator Classic it appears that the files are being added but nothing shows up.

In addition, I just noticed that instead of the text type files showing up, the audio portion repeats like this:

In the first section there are tracks labeled track00.cda, track01.cda, etc. On the second section the names of the songs are listed as shown in Creator Classic. However, if I try to view the CD with explorer all that is viewable is the first section.

The Disk and Device tool says there are two sections, one audio and the one data. However, the data is not visible.

Thanx for the help

I am assuming you are using Version 7.x, and have opened up a new "enhanced cd" project in Creator Classic. This provides you with 2 sections in the bottom project box of the screen - one for the audio selections, and the other for whatever data files you want to include. You should drag the songs you want included to the section labeled "audio project" and the files you want included to the other section (please note that the other section will use whatever name is shown in the "disc name" on the top of this project window - and you can make that whatever you want).

When you burn this project, it will result in an enhanced cd, which is a 2 session cd - with the audio tracks in the first session and the data files in the second session. See the image to verify if this is the project type you are using. Standalone cd players see only the very first session on a cd. Computers can see any and all sessions, but generally default to seeing the very last one on the disc.

So, if you load this cd into your home, car or portable cd player, it will see the audio tracks and play them, but will not see the data session. If you look at the disc via Windows Explorer on your computer, you should be able to see both sessions, and if you switch to the data session, you should see whatever files you included there.

If these comments do not help you accomplish what you are after, please come back, tell us a bit more about what is happening, and we'll try again.
