Xyzzy
Hello! In MyDVD, I've noticed that if I mark some movie thumbnails to be "motion" ones (or create movie overlay) and then use "Preview", MyDVD spends a few minutes building menu. In VideoStudio preview with such thumbnails is instant. Movies are already rendered in SP DVD format. Any advice? X.
Xyzzy
What's the problem? That is how MyDVD was designed. Well, the wasted time is the problem (and bad design if you are right). As VS shows, it's not necessary to wait for menu preview. X.
ggrussell
You're trying to compare how two different apps were written. If you like the other app better, then don't use MyDVD. Over the years, I have purchased many different video editors: Adobe, Ulead, Pinnacle, Magix, and Sony. And have downloaded trials of many others. For my personal way of working, I still prefer EMC 9.
Xyzzy
You're trying to compare how two different apps were written. If you like the other app better, then don't use MyDVD. You must be joking. I am comparing performance of two applications in single, very limited area. To compare how they are written I'd have to have their source codes. I am not writing about "way of working" or which is better, but about single performance issue. How do you know if it is design issue, harder to improve, or just negligence? Or do you say that MyDVD is perfect by the pure fact it is by Roxio and no improvement is needed? X.
ggrussell
Since this is a useless topic and has nothing to do with a 'problem', the topic will be closed. Thank you for your opinion. You have your answer.
