Toast version 6, 7, 8

KateSorensen

Question

I started with Toast 6 and have bought every new version up to now. Recently I had to reinstall, so I thought I had to start with v6, then install 7. 7.1, 7.2 and then 8. Is that correct? I buy new versions and download from the internet. I guess I am thinking they just update the last oldest version.

If my hard drive failed and I wanted to reinstall Toast v 8, do I have to start with my original CD version of 6 and go up the line?

Can I delete the old versions 6, 7, etc. from my hard drive now?

Thanks for your patience and kind understanding with help. :)

You certainly can keep the old versions if you want, but you dont need to have them on your system to install the new version. The upgrades are a sales only creation, you are actually getting the full installers.

Hey John,

In a similar vein, is it possible to run 2 purchased copies of Toast at the same time. I've run a v7 and a v8 at the same time but was wondering if I bought a second copy of v8, if I could do the same.

Thanks for your time,

Paul Coltoff

Why would you buy a copy? If your using it on the same mac then just make a copy of 8 and use both.
