? Need To Import Previous Sessions In A Multi-session Data Disk

john_d_miller

Question

With ECDC 5.x I used to have to go tools > import before I added a new bunch of files to my CD. But now I've uninstalled ECDC 5 and have replaced it with EMC 7.5.

There was no 'import' under Tools in 7.5's Creator Classic and I didn't find a mention of it in Help.

So am I correct in assuming I can now just add new sessions to my CD without a 2nd. thought or procedure and that I can then just pop the CD in my CD-ROM and access any file with no problem?

Sort of… It was "simplified" starting in V6 but it has to be done a little differently than what you did before.

Always start with a new project and insert the disc before doing anything else.

You will be prompted to import previous sessions. Do so.

Now add what you want to the project.

If you don't do it this way, it will not burn the disc, insisting on a blank disc instead.
