Copies of DVD Builder Project

LarryDay

Question

I put together a slideshow using Storyboard, complete with transitions and descriptive audio for each of seven compositions, then tied them together with DVD Builder, put it on our DVD player and it worked as advertised. Then I made copies using Disk Copier and the original project DVD. No error messages or any other indications that things weren't right. Then, thinking everything was OK, erased the file copy of the project from my hard disk. WHen my friend went to play the DVD, nothing would work. I tried the other 2 copies I had made - nothing to play. Original - still played as advertised.

What can I /do I need to do to make playable copies of my Storyboard/DVD Builder project from it's only DVD disk?

You can copy the dvd to your hard drive as an ISO and use it to burn back to discs. You can also use Media Import to copy to your hard drive so that you can make any changes to your project if you wish.

I second the opinion that you should use Disk Copier and burn an 'image file' (.iso) to your hard drive. You need to put a copy on your hard drive just in case that DVD becomes unreadable. It won't take up any more space than you burned to the DVD.

For some reason, I find that when I burn DVDs from the image file, they tend to be playable on more types of DVD players.
