Gunwing
Ok, so now we need to know: Do you have the stand alone version of videowave 7 or is your version included with Easy Media Creator 7/7.5 Also what exact version is it. If it IS part of the EMC 7 package do the other programs within it work ok. And tell us what "tricks" you have tried so that we don't repeat any. Ok thanks for your help : I have EMC 7 and the only things that work are Captures, Media Manager and the Roxio player. I have renamed Media Manager (Media Manager.old) / I have executed the DAO dll file / Cleaned the computer / Tried to repair it with windows / checked the Firewall allowances and I think that's all. I have renamed Media Manager (Media Manager.old) / I have executed the DAO dll file / Cleaned the computer / Tried to repair it with windows / checked the Firewall allowances and I think that's all. Have you checked for spyware? Since you reinstalled it, have you gone to the Roxio Software Update page and seen if there are any updates for your version? ( Automatic update doesn't work any more.) Have you gone to the Windows\ Control Panel\ System Properties\ Advanced\ Performance Settings\ Advanced tab \ Data Execution Prevention and see if DEP is turned off for the Roxio programs? What version of the program do you have? Did you download it, did it come with a DVD burner or computer, or is it a Retail Version? If it is a Retail version, there is a fix that might help. Guest ml
If I read your post correctly, you have only 6 GB of free space on your hard drive. That's going to make it extremely difficult to run DVD Builder or VideoWave. Try defragmenting your hard drive and also see if you can free up some more space on your hard drive. Also make certain that Windows Data Execution Prevention will allow Roxio programs to launch. If you need more information, type "Data Execution Prevention" in Windows Help and select the option to see if DEP is available on your computer. I know you're frustrated, but a little more detailed explanation might help us help you. We don't work for Roxio. We like to help others get their programs working so that they can preserve their pictures and videos.
bimicher
Adding to what ml posted.. I have a feeling that your system might just not be able to run this software. 256MB is at the low end of requirements. Could list your computer specs especially CPU and the video card you have installed.
