Easy Media Creator 9 backwards compatibility

Hi All,

 

I have been using Easy CD Creator for years, I have hundreds of CD images that I need to keep, and my latest version is 5. I need to upgrade it because an issue with ISO images in version 5. My questions:

 

1. Can Easy Media Creator 9 read version 5 project files and record from version 5 CD images?

 

2. Can *.cif CD images be converted to ISO CD images?

 

3. Is there any other Roxio product, rather than Easy Media Creator 9, that will do the above?

Thanks for the replies! I downladed the EMC9 User Guide and I found that I only need the "Creator Clasic" feature, not the other video/audio functionality (we develop SW). Are you aware of a Roxio Creator Clasic-only product?

No - it just comes as a complete suite

Basically

1: No to project files. It will read and mount iso but I'm not sure about .cif (present image alternate is .c2d)

2: to convert .cif to iso, there is a shareware prog here

1: Most likely EMC9 will not be able to open V5 project files. .iso, .cif, .cue and .c2d disc image files can be burned with EMC 9.

2: Yes, Creator Classic can open the .cif file and burn a disc which you can then create an ISO. Disc Copier might be able to convert .CIF to ISO. I don't have any .cif files to try.
