I recently purchased EMC9, had been using creator 6 w/o major problems.
at first creator classic seemed to be working fine but now when I start it up, a DAO installer/confugure routine starts up (I have no idea where this is coming from or why) and ends with "windows installer cannot continue" and after I get rid of that there is an additonal "server busy" message with an option to switch to ??? or retry.
CC9 is frozen, I have to go to task mgr to close it.
how can I resolve this problem? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I have renamed DAO files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO but that didn't help.
I have looked at some of the posts around this. but I'm still not sure what to do. I have a Radeon 9550 apparently ATI graphic card. can I simply just uninstall DAO? do I need it for anything? does anyonze know why this whole DAO routine is being called up?
