Rendering does not work on multiple source files

MattD

Question

I just purchased a new Dell E521 and the Easy Creator 9 software. I have a ticket opened with support, but thus far they have not resolved it. I'm hoping someone on this forum has seen this. I've tried all of the suggestions that I've seen on this board, such as updating video cards, removing dragtodisc, software render, disable all other programs /etc.

The problem I am having is anytime I attempt to render a movie (using VideoWave/MyDVD/or cinemagic) using more than 1 .avi or .mpeg file the rendering process hangs at 0%.

To insure that there was no corruption in the .avi files, I've tested each .avi file individually. Whenever each is used by itself the rendering process completes fine. But as soon as I try to use more than one video clip it hangs at 0%.

I've received a hotfix from Roxio which has not changed the behavior.

Given that the rendering process works for 1 file, this looks like a severe bug in the Roxio software.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of issue?

Thanks,

Matt

The only thing that I've seen work for this is to reinstall video drivers, even if they are already current. With your A/V software disabled, uninstall the current drivers, reboot, install the latest drivers, reboot, open VideoWave or MyDVD so the "evaluate your video card" process takes place.

I haven't heard back from support or this forum. Given the many posts I've seen here I am not alone. I have uploaded my 2 burnlogs in an attempt to stir some conversation on what is going wrong. Again, if I use 1 .avi file the burn works correctly with 2 it hangs.

I am more than happy to give any information. I'm running out of time on my 30-day return and will have no choice but to return it soon.

Regards,

Matt Domencic
