Hi! I am a novice at this whole mess. I had trouble getting my backed up data from old PC to new Dell. That issue is finally resolved. I now have tried back up of data on new PC using above Roxio (and where did Sonic come from?) product. I realize it's Dell & proprietary. Is that the problem? I have used the Creator Home which is titled "Roxio Creator LE - Dell Edition", and the "Data Disc". I copied data from the HD to both CD-RW and DVD+RW. Now, they both show "full". I know they are not full. When I try adding more data, the error message says I must erase. When I go to erase (realizing full well I will have to re-save), the error message says I can not erase. I am so confused as to this Sonic, Dell, Roxio, DLA & so on. Too many choices. I did read where using DLA would not make my DVD+RW readable on any other PC. So I chose to not use DLA. Can anyone simplify this for me? Does Sonic own Roxio or vice versa? And why? And where does Legacy come in?
