RecordNow 9 Music Lab Premier

Roadster

Question

Hope someone casn help!

I installed RecordNow 9 Music Lab Premier today in order to play with MP3 files but mainly to record radio streams.

I successfully recorded an audio CD and the MP3's played back OK. I then started a radio stream going (from the UK BBC - I think they use a Real Audio derivitive) and recorded a minutes worth to test it. I pressed stop, then double clicked on the saved file which automatically loaded Windows Media player and it started to play it but cut out after a few seconds. After that I cannot get sound from anything. WMP seems to "hear" sound from CD's and the Sonic recorded file (because the visualisations respond to the rhythm), and I even set another radio stream going and even though I could not hear it Sonic recorded it and showed sound patterns as it did so, and WMP once again seemed to "hear" the rhythms. I am going to dump the recorded file to CD and see if there is in fact sound in the file on another computer.

I have rebooted, checked that the sound is not set to min volume or mute, and checked Device Driver to ensure that the sound card is enabled etc as per the fault finding Microsoft help.

Please help, I want my sound back!

Solved this myself - it had nothing to do with Sonic, software or the hardware, and everything to do with the unit between the computer and the speakers. Just a co-incidence it chose to go down while testing new software that manipulates sound. Check out the basics first hey?

Yes I am blushing.
