EMC9 Video Wave - Pan & Zoom Editor :-(

Ronecol

Question

I recently ugraded from 7.5 to 9. Some new features are desirable. However, I'm extremely disappointed in the functionality of the (new) Pan & Zoom Editor in Video Wave compared to 7.5.

No ability to trim the length of the frame. Have to exit Pan & Zoom and go back to the "trim" function and guess at frame length to accommodate smooth pan & zoom transitions - then back again to Pan & Zoom to make adjustments - trial & error, trial & error, trial & error - very frustrating.

No indication of pane size - unable to compare size of pane from one transition to the next - another guessing game and with such small windows it is next to impossible to move from one transition to the next with the same pane size.

Text doesn't show in the Pan & Zoom Editor so impossible to corridinate text with panning and/or zooming.

The preview window is so small detail is lost when zooming.

Timing indicator doesn't provide a marker from the beginning of the frame.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having these same frustrating experiences and why the designers felt it necessary to remove so much funtionality from the earlier version???

Type in Pan and Zoom in the search, above right.
