DVD Copy2 - Convert to WMV adds black border?

Hi All:

I just purchased DVDCopy 2. I want to Copy my DVD's to my harddrive as WMV files. I have tried several movies only to discover two issues.

 

Issue 1. For some reason when I convert a Letterbox DVD movie to WMV , it adds a black border around the entire movie??? Why? Can I disable this?

 

Issue 2. It seems to take any movie I convert to WMV and "squeezes" the image horizotaly. Why?

 

All I want is to convert the movie as is from the DVD with no loss of quality/picture to a WMV file. Why am I finding software that is having so much trouble w/ this? Is this a WMV flaw?

 

 

NOTE: I am verifying all of the converted movies in in WMP 11.
