Want to use the same CD/DVD drive as Source & Destination drives

I am using Sonic RecordNow v7.3. I have 1 CD/DVD burner on this machine. RecordNow 7 shows the CD drive as Source dirve but shows 'No Recorder' under the Destination drive. My other laptop shows the same drive as both Source and Destination drive. It copies from the Source drive, stores it into a buffer and then asks to remove the Source CD and insert a blank CD. Once a blank CD is in then burns the info from the buffer to the CD... works perfect.

But this Laptop (Dell Latitiude D610 w/ Win Xp Pro SP2) with 1 drive, Sonic shows the Source drive but not a Destination drive.

I have downloaded the RecordNow updates and the PE update fror Win Xp... still does not show the existing drive as a recorder drive.

You may need to manually point Record Now to the drive. Open Record Now and on the top it might say "No drive recognized" or something like that, it's a drop down menu. Select it and then select your drive.

 

Assuming you have a burner in the laptop and it can burn successfully in Record Now by itself you should be fine.
