So when you click preview, you never see the menu? Then something must be wrong with the menu. What file type was the logo?

I don't think I was clear. I developed the menu, put the logo on it, and added the Production file I made from Videowave under Add Photos/videos. It put the name of the production in text on the menu. I changed the text to read "Play Movie". Under settings I selected Activate ( i think - I can't get to that screen right now) and added a transition effect. I clicked on the preview Icon and the menu loaded and then played. While it played in preview, I clicked on the "Play Movie" Text and it went into the movie. But first it said "loading Menu, Please wait" The movie played after that. At that point I saved my project to make sure I had it. When I burn it The movie is in preview, and I only get a small glimpse of the menu (I have a transition effect between the menu and movie, so I think this is why I get a 1 second or less shot of it.

Right now I am trying to save the production to Mpeg-2 in videowave. I tried this earlier and it didn't work. I rebooted to see if it would work now.

I just got the error in videowave. "there is no common media type between these pins"

I've never used the 'transitions' feature from menu to movie. Remove that and see if the menu works as expected.

I had several issues with MyDVD and Video wave when it got into the transition. What I found was that trimming about 3 secs of of the first clip after the trasition helped. I have no idea why. I am now outputing in MyDVD to Mpeg-2 for DVD, Best. It is looking good right now and I have my fingers crossed. I am not getting the No common media between pins error. When I get this done and saved, and after some sleep too, I'll retry the menu deal. I have a feeling it'll work. I will definately let you know. I could not have gotten this far without you.

Cheers!

Good thing.... I may try to duplicate the problem with a small project using the transition. By the way, that is how transitions work. It takes parts of each and overlaps the video which means 'losing' so many seconds. The first 3 seconds of your video would be in the transition. So for future reference, remember that when editing the video and allow for the transition.

I've learned a new reverence for film editors since I started all this. LOL

Click on EDIT BACKGROUND

This brings up the background in a Videowave editor.

Switch to Timeline and add an overlay track.

Then add your logo to the overlay track.

When finished, click BACK TO MENU above the preview

Thanks. This program is kickng my butt. I got the Logo on it. I tried burning the DVD and the movie burned but not the menu. So I started looking around the posts for anything similar and found a discusion you had about saving the Videowave (using the Film Reel Icon) and importing into MyDVD. It went through normalizing audio and then came up with a window saying "no similar objects between pins" - whatever that means.

Like I said above, I originally imported the video into MyDVD and it made an image file sans the menu, so I thought I must of done something wrong. So Ifolowed your post, and everything seems to go the way you said, but no menu. Is there a step I am missing?

That only happened to me once, but all I did was try burning it again and it worked. Haven't had trouble since that time.

I tried it again, but it still only does the movie. I did notice something though. When I oreview it, the menu plays. Then I click on the button in the preview to start the movie and it says loading menu. then plays the movie. I'm not sure if this is the problem, and I do not know how to correct it if it is.
