Audio/Video Sync Issues

Gunnin

Question

Hear Hear! -- Very well authored response/explanation. Again I will add my voice because I am assuming that our friends at Roxio/Sonic are monitoring these boards and therefore are aware of our situation. The lack of input from them on this subject is frustrating. I expect better.

I, also, have been very disappointed and frustrated that the software can not hold the audio and video in synch. I've run into this problem when simply importing a video (that works perfectly outside of Roxio) to burning to a DVD and every step in between!

I've continued to look for a solution for this, because I've found that when it works, Easy Media Creator is a great, user friendly tool that accomplishes exactly what my goals are. Unfortunately, the key phrase is "when it works".

I hate to keep this thread running. The three most common fixes for sync issues I have found in this program are:

1) Capture in 20 or so minute segments as avi files. Use Video Wave to add them together.

2) Capture with a USB device that captures video and audio through the same device (some softening of the video images)

3) Capture any way you want and then extract the audio, shorten it and add it back in. Use Media Manager to extract the audio, Sound Wave to trim and Video Wave to put it back in.

If the Videos preview correctly and you have sync problems after you burn the disc, burn to an iso file in MyDVD rather than directly to disc and then copy the iso file to your blank. This separated the encoding from the burning so your computer is not trying to do two different things at one time.
