After the video clip, add a Dissolve transition followed by a colored (black) panel.

I was also wondering, is there any type of book or uderguide for EMC 9 that shows illustrated steps on how to do all of the functions available? I saw there's an EMC 8 For Dummies book on amazon, but none for version 9. Are 8 & 9 similar enough to purchase the book for version 8?
