VideoWavew + Tivo... how to edit and output successfully?

rustybc

Question

Hi,

I have EMC 9 and a boatload of tivo files that I want to burn to DVD.

I can open and edit the files without too much problem (though a little sluggish) but once I go to output the edited files to mpeg-2 (or any other format), VideoWave freezes, and I have to kill the process. No amount of time even starts the output.

I used the video converter to convert one of the files to mpeg-2, and once that was done, I edited the video with VideoWave, and output the edited file to mpeg-2 without problems.

Is there any way to not have to convert all the tivo files to mpeg-2 before I can edit them?

The initial conversion takes a while to begin with, and it seems counter-intuitive to have to convert before editing.

Any help or suggestions appreciated!

Be thankful you can edit the files. I can't even get through an entire editing process without it hanging. I've been fighting it for about a month. Keep us posted if you get a resolve. I got some lame resolutions from the support group and am now trying to get my money back.

If you are trying to get your money back, why would you care about a resolution to your problem?
