How do I put 4T V programs (about 350 mb avi files each) on One DVD

alphafarce

Question

I have not been able to put more than 2 episodes of Lost on one DVD using MyuDVD. The files were AVI format. Each clip was about 350 MB. Mathematically it seems that if you multiply 350 by four you should be able to easily fit 1.4 gig of AVI on the MyDVD but I can only get two (700mb )..What am I doing wrong? Even if I convert tyo mpeg it is 450 mb each..I have friends who have 4 to 6 episodes on a dvd. WHat Should I do?

File size means nothing when creating a video DVD. The important parameter is time: a standard DVD will hold 1 hour of video at best quality. To get on more then 60 minutes the quality has to be reduced. I have no idea how your friends are able to get 4 to 6 episodes on a DVD. Perhaps you can ask them and post their method here. I am sure many of us would like to use their magic formula.
