Missing Files on DVD-RW using Drag-to-Disc

Yesterday I copied a bunch of data from my hard drive to my DVD-RW disc. Now the MAIN folder is missing half of the files.

 

The weird part is I tried to download and replace the missing file, when I do that it says the file already exists, do you want to overwrite it? however, even if I do overwrite it the file still does not show up?

 

What is going on here?

I think you have discovered the joys of D2D

 

ANY packet writing system is a surefire way to lose all your data. With the price of CD-Rs nowadays, it's not really worth the risk and I'd personal;ly recommend you use Creator Classic to move tham

 

That having been said - recovering your data is a bit different

both have programs that should be able to access the data and pull it back. The trial versions will let you know if they can get at it (you need the full program to do the extracation tho)

Outstanding USELESS product!! ;-) why bother publishing a product that looses data for you without warning...hmmm maybe the Anti-Virus companies should include Drag-to-Disc in their Virus Signatures!!

Actually - ALL packet writing s/w is as bad - D2D, InCD by Nero and Sonic DLA

well, they could add all of them then, at least they wouldn't be picking on any single vendor!!

I'd tend to agree - in fact I uninstall D2D before I even start doing anything
