TTG Transfers Fail Without Notification



Every file transfer program I am aware of EXCEPT TiVoToGo for Mac verifies that the entire file was transferred successfully and notifies the user if there was a discrepancy. TiVoToGo will blithely start a transfer that is supposed to be, say, a 1.1GB file transfer and when Tivo ends the file after a few megabytes it moves onto the next file as if nothing had happened. This is unacceptable. I know that Roxio is not accepting responsibility for TiVo's failure to transfer the entire file but they can at least notify us when it fails to transfer the entire file.

Furthermore if TiVo hangs during a transfer, TiVoToGo for Mac will hang indefinitely, instead of timing out, declaring an error and moving on to the next queued title.

I suspect that Roxio will accept no responsibility for either of these errors and place all blame on TiVo (especially since all evidence seems to point to TiVoToGo for Mac actually being a TiVo, not Roxio, product - note the copyright in the about box and the fact that TiVo was showing off this software in beta at MWSF '06)

How about stepping up and accepting a little responsibility for your software, Roxio... you hardly seem to be the responsible, quality driven company that you were pre-Napster. Did you do any beta testing on Toast 8 or was it simply rushed to market to make a splash at MWSF. I am disappointed by the results.
